Faces Behind
the Sails

Behind every Punch Croisières boat cutting through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, there is the high standards, the smile, and the commitment of our team. Welcome to the Punch family: A story of sailors, shared passion, and faces always delighted to welcome you on the docks.

1995, the story of a meeting

All great stories begin, above all, with great encounters.

In the early 90s, the famous naval architect Philippe Harlé designed a small live-aboard catamaran for himself, the Punch 7.50. As was his habit, the series name was that of a locally produced alcohol (we remember the Armagnac, Muscadet, and Sancerre series…).

The Martinican shipyard Multicap Caraïbes, impressed by the boat’s performance, launched a larger version. This would be the first catamaran that Eric Vasse, the founder of Punch Croisières, would take under management.

At the same time, Eric asked Philippe Harlé to design a boat adapted for rental, still built at Multicap. This would be the Punch 1200 “Depaz”. Very quickly, this evolved into the Punch 1250, and the boats bore the names of Martinique’s great rum distilleries.

Seven boats were built. And Punch Croisières is proud to have been the first rental company in a short circuit, with boats produced and operated locally! Since then, some day charter companies have repeated the operation, first with Punches (Les Catas du Delphis) and then with boats built at Alizés Composites (Cata Mambo).

The disappearance of the Multicap shipyard marked the end of this partnership, and Eric Vasse turned to Nautitech, a human-sized shipyard whose boats were then also designed by his friend Philippe Harlé.

It was at this point that Eric developed the “long-term” formula, in which Punch Croisières remains the leader in the Caribbean today.

And when Nautitech entrusted the design of its boats to Marc Lombard, the latter entrusted Punch Croisières with the management of his personal Nautitech 40 Open “Et Hop”.

A Word from Christophe,
the Shore Captain

Taking the helm of Punch Croisières was a commitment!

“Taking the helm of Punch Croisières meant committing to preserving the company’s ‘tailor-made’ spirit. Our ambition is simple: that you feel, from the moment you step onto the dock, that you are expected. That we know who you are. That we are familiar with your cruise project, and that everything has already been implemented with that goal in mind.

We only sleep soundly when we know you are sailing serenely. The sea is our shared garden, and your safety is my compass.”

A permanent technical team

Punch Croisières invests in people for the long term. Because a stable team means a permanent gain in expertise, continuity of service, and a ’boutique’ spirit that you find year after year.

The Technicians

They are the soul of our fleet. Engines, rigging, electronics, refrigeration… They anticipate breakdowns before they happen. Their pride? A blank ‘return sheet’ when you hand the boat back to us.

Welcome & Preparation

From the moment you arrive on the dock, a smile is mandatory. We know the best restaurants on the island and the customs procedures, and we ensure that your provisioning is safely on board.

Maintenance

Cleanliness is not an option. Our cleaning teams ensure that you step onto a boat as fresh as if it had just left the shipyard.
